Senior AI Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of a shared AI/ML platform for healthcare claims, the full-time Senior AI Engineer will design and implement agentic systems, operate self-hosted inference at scale, and manage MLOps governance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and ship dynamic tool-calling agents with per-step verification and grounding checks
- Operate self-hosted inference services at scale, optimizing throughput and ensuring concurrency across tenants
- Own MLOps governance, including quality scoring, observability, and cost management
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping ML/AI systems in production, with hands-on LLM application work in the last 1-2 years
- Strong proficiency in Python and solid software engineering fundamentals
- Practical depth in LLM application patterns, including grounding and evaluation techniques
- Experience with AWS and MLOps, including containers, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Familiarity with regulated data handling, particularly HIPAA/SOC 2/ISO 27001 compliance
