Senior AI Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a senior team in a remote full-time capacity, the Senior AI Engineering Manager will oversee the development of a shared AI platform for internal systems, focusing on identity access, cost management, and enabling safe adoption of AI tools across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a senior team in platform engineering and technical program management, setting clear goals and expectations
• Manage the AI access layer, including identity and authentication, integration permissions, and safety guardrails for AI tool adoption
• Oversee AI cost engineering, ensuring traceability of AI spend and establishing budget thresholds in collaboration with Finance

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in platform, infrastructure, or systems engineering, with 3+ years in a managerial role
• Experience creating and managing an internal AI or developer platform from inception
• Fluency in AI cost engineering, including usage attribution and model right-sizing
• Hands-on technical expertise in LLM platform tooling, identity management, and infrastructure as code
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship
