Senior AI/ML Architect

Job Summary

To support a contract engagement, the Senior AI/ML Architect will design the intelligence layer of an edge AI assistant system remotely, focusing on architecture validation, technology assessments, and creating a proof-of-concept demonstrator without training or deploying production models.

Key responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and selection of Small Language Model candidates for edge deployment, producing technology assessments with trade-off rationale
• Design the architecture for domain restriction and guardrails, ensuring safe operational scope and retrieval-first behavior
• Collaborate with Edge ML and AWS Solutions Architects to ensure architecture recommendations align with hardware constraints and cloud service standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience; AWS certifications preferred
• 7+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure or Platform Engineering with expertise in multi-tenant AWS data platforms
• Expert-level proficiency with AWS core services and complex Terraform module authoring
• Deep experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and data isolation design at scale
