Senior AI Research Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote Senior AI Research Scientist specializing in model-based reinforcement learning, who will design and implement advanced AI control systems for industrial applications, focusing on developing learned dynamics and safe reinforcement learning methods.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and evaluate model-based reinforcement learning agents and planning-based controllers for industrial control systems
• Develop learned dynamics and world models, including training pipelines for reliable planning and control
• Research and implement methods for safe reinforcement learning and constrained control, ensuring safety during deployment

Required qualifications

• PhD in a technical field or equivalent practical experience with a strong background in model-based reinforcement learning
• 2+ years of research experience in academia or industry after PhD graduation, or 5+ years after Master's graduation
• Extensive research experience in model-based reinforcement learning and control theory
• Hands-on experience building and evaluating agents against simulators and addressing the sim-to-real gap
