Senior AIX Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. AIX Engineer, fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily AIX operations, including user/group management, filesystem/storage management, and system backups
• Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot AIX systems in production environments
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation and system health validation

Required Qualifications

• 6-10 years of hands-on AIX system administration experience in production environments
• Strong experience with AIX installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and patching
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell required; Perl or Python preferred)
• Experience supporting large, enterprise IBM Power Systems
• Solid understanding of UNIX fundamentals, storage, and networking concepts
