Senior AIX Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. AIX SME.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide architecture guidance and best practices on AIX OS and IBM hardware for large enterprise environments
• Lead complex builds, upgrades, and migrations; review and sign off on AIX technical designs
• Support critical incidents and performance issues, working with cross-functional infrastructure teams

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in AIX OS administration, performance tuning, patching, upgrades, and OS migrations
• Strong experience with IBM Power systems, HMC, VIOS, LPARs, PowerVM, and high availability setups (HACMP/PowerHA)
• Experience in architecture/solution design, implementation planning, and validation for AIX platforms
• Experience acting as L3/L4 SME, handling critical incidents, root cause analysis, and change management
