Senior Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the transition to a certified analytics platform, the full-time Senior Analytics Engineer will manage the development of gold-tier dbt models and a prose-based semantic layer, while ensuring the delivery of trustworthy insights to stakeholders, with the option to work remotely from Austin or Denver or on a hybrid schedule in New York.

Key responsibilities

• Lead major initiatives on the analytics platform roadmap from scoping to delivery, collaborating with the Director
• Transform new data sources into production-ready gold-tier dbt models for company-wide trust and usability
• Develop and maintain a prose semantic layer that documents model definitions and historical data decisions

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related hybrid role
• Proficiency in dbt and SQL, with strong opinions on data grain, testing, and documentation
• Experience working with Redshift or a similar data warehouse at scale
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and their application against data
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in writing for executive understanding
