Senior Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on the modernization of analytics workflows, the contract Senior Analytics Engineer will translate SAS-based analytics into Python solutions while collaborating with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and technology partners in a fully remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret existing SAS programs to understand data processing and analytical procedures
• Translate SAS-based analytics into Python using libraries such as pandas and numpy, ensuring business logic is preserved
• Validate converted logic by reconciling outputs between SAS and Python, while improving existing analytics pipelines

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python for data analysis, including proficiency in pandas, numpy, and SQL integration
• Working knowledge of SAS and the ability to read and interpret existing SAS code
• Experience in translating or modernizing legacy analytics or reporting logic
• Solid understanding of analytics concepts, including aggregations and derived metrics
• Ability to collaborate closely with business users to translate analytical requirements into technical solutions
