Senior Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

To support the modernization of analytics workflows, the remote Senior Analytics Engineer will translate and enhance existing SAS-based analytics into Python-based solutions while collaborating with business stakeholders and analytics teams on a 3-month contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret existing SAS programs, including DATA steps and PROC SQL
• Translate SAS-based analytics into Python using pandas, numpy, and SQL, ensuring accuracy and business logic preservation
• Validate converted logic by reconciling outputs between SAS and Python and improve existing analytics pipelines

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python for data analysis, including pandas, numpy, and SQL integration
• Working knowledge of SAS with the ability to read and interpret existing SAS code
• Experience translating or modernizing legacy analytics or reporting logic
• Solid understanding of analytics concepts such as aggregations, joins, and derived metrics
• Experience validating analytical outputs and ensuring data accuracy
