Senior Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the transition to certified gold-tier analytics models, the full-time Senior Analytics Engineer will manage the analytics platform roadmap, develop trusted data models, and create a prose semantic layer for stakeholders, with the option to work remotely from Austin or Denver or on a hybrid schedule in New York.

Key responsibilities

• Lead major initiatives on the analytics platform roadmap from scoping to delivery
• Transform new data sources into production gold-tier dbt models for company-wide trust
• Develop and maintain a prose semantic layer to document model definitions and historical decisions

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a hybrid data role
• Proficiency in dbt and SQL, with strong opinions on data grain, testing, and documentation
• Experience working with Redshift or similar data warehouses at scale
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and their application to data
• Strong technical writing skills for clear metric explanations
