Senior Analytics Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the analytics layer between data platforms and business needs, the full-time remote Senior Analytics Engineer will design and build trusted data models, maintain a semantic layer for consistent metric definitions, and deliver reliable BI dashboards that drive informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build durable, well-tested data models in dbt, ensuring correct and reusable metrics across the organization
• Maintain the semantic layer to ensure consistent metric definitions and clear documentation for the business
• Develop and manage BI dashboards grounded in well-modeled data, ensuring reliability and accessibility in a multi-tenant environment

Required qualifications

• 7-9+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI with hands-on experience in modeling and reporting
• Deep expertise in dbt, including project design, incremental models, and documentation
• Strong skills in dimensional and semantic modeling, including metric definition and building a reusable single source of truth
• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake
• Experience with modern BI tools (e.g., Omni, Looker, Power BI) focused on data modeling rather than one-off queries
