Senior Android Engineer

Job Summary

As a foundational member of the mobile team, the full-time Senior Android Engineer will own the Android foundation, shape the Kotlin codebase, and establish engineering patterns while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop Moov's public Kotlin SDK surface and underlying architecture
• Implement modern Android frameworks such as Jetpack Compose, Kotlin coroutines, and Flow
• Establish testing, CI, and release practices to streamline the shipping process

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production Android apps in Kotlin
• Deep fluency with Jetpack Compose and Kotlin coroutines
• Experience shipping libraries, SDKs, or public APIs with a focus on backward compatibility
• Strong understanding of performance, observability, and accessibility in software design
• Bonus: Experience with Tap to Pay on Android, NFC/HCE payments, or fintech/payments
