Senior Android Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the development of high-quality Android features, the contract Senior Android Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain consumer-facing experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote capacity with occasional travel to Austin, TX.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Android features from technical design through testing and release
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to influence product vision and roadmap
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the evolution of Android architecture and engineering standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in building and shipping production Android applications
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development practices
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and/or XML-based views for UI development
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining Android application architectures
• Solid understanding of Android platform fundamentals and networked API integration
