Senior Android Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a passionate Senior Android Engineer for a fully remote, full-time position focused on building and launching Android home-screen launchers, including the Arrow Arcade Launcher, while mentoring other developers and ensuring compliance with Google Play policies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop native Android launchers, integrating Unity games and ensuring optimal performance and memory management
• Architect a modular, reusable launcher platform to support future variants while managing projects from planning to deployment
• Utilize AI coding tools to enhance development efficiency and advocate for high-quality, maintainable code through testing and code reviews

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in building large-scale Android applications, with proficiency in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Dagger
• Hands-on experience developing custom Android launchers and integrating Unity as a library
• Familiarity with Google Play policies for launchers and ad SDK integration (AdMob, Unity Ads)
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows and tools such as GitHub Copilot
• Strong understanding of Android architecture components and performance profiling techniques
