Senior Android Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of VPN solutions, the contracted Senior Android Engineer will work remotely to build and manage VPN tunnels, implement networking protocols, and ensure security and privacy standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage VPN functionalities using Android's VpnService and ensure stable connections across various protocols
• Implement strong networking fundamentals and security measures, including encryption and threat modeling
• Collaborate on building core VPN SDK architecture and maintain compliance with Play Store policies for VPN applications

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android architecture, with experience in VPNService and TUN interface concepts
• Strong understanding of networking protocols such as WireGuard, OpenVPN, and IKEv2/IPsec
• Experience with NDK/JNI for integrating VPN cores and building native libraries
• Prior experience in developing VPN products, including consumer or enterprise solutions
• Familiarity with backend technologies and secure API design is a plus
