Senior Android Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of mobile applications and integrations for data synchronization, the full-time Senior Android Software Engineer will design, build, and deploy software while setting technical direction and mentoring other engineers in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the design, development, and deployment of Android applications and plugins that integrate with Ditto's data synchronization capabilities
- Architect and develop reliable Android-native integrations for tactical end-user devices in disconnected and low-bandwidth environments
- Lead integration architecture design, defining data contracts and API boundaries for seamless interoperability with third-party systems
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of building and maintaining production applications
- 4+ years of mobile application development experience, particularly with the Android SDK and Kotlin/Java
- Strong skills in integration design, including defining API contracts and architecting loosely coupled systems
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience, including making architectural decisions and setting team direction
- A proven ability to mentor engineers through code reviews and design guidance
