Senior Animal Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Animal Technician Senior.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily care and handling of laboratory animals
• Identify clinical and behavioral signs of illness in animals and report accordingly
• Assist in mentoring and training new animal technicians while supporting administrative functions

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma and at least 2 years of paid animal experience, including 1 year in a laboratory animal setting
• Certification of American Association for Laboratory Animal Science - Certified Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT)
• Certification of American Association for Laboratory Animal Science - Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) within 6 months of eligibility
