Senior API Developer

Job Summary

To support a client's needs, the contract Senior API Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable integration solutions and enterprise-grade APIs using PHP and Python, while working remotely during CST hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
• Build scalable integration solutions between enterprise applications, databases, and third-party platforms
• Implement security best practices for API development and monitor performance to ensure system reliability

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Python for API and backend service development
• Extensive experience with Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL development
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and web services
• Strong understanding of API security standards, including OAuth and JWT
