Senior Application Engineer

Job Summary

To support the migration of legacy systems, the contract Senior Application Engineer will design, develop, and optimize software applications remotely, focusing on transitioning collection services to a SaaS platform while collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis of the existing CACS application and its documented interfaces
• Create architecture and design documentation for proposed processing and engineer the technical solution
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and write maintainable code

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in application or software development engineering
• Expertise in mainframe programming languages and tools such as JCL, COBOL, and DB2 on z/OS
• Advanced proficiency in software development principles and SAFe/Agile methodology
• Deep understanding of database structures, web technologies, and technical applications
