Senior Application Performance Analyst
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Senior Application Performance Analyst will perform deep dive performance forensics, deliver technical code in various programming languages, and provide mentorship while ensuring application improvements and technical support.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct deep dive performance forensics to isolate code-level drivers of degradation using tools like Strobe and DB2 Visualizer
- Deliver technical code in COBOL, Java, Python, Go, JCL, and REXX while performing application code reviews for tuning recommendations
- Provide 7x24x365 technical support for application improvements and assist in war room hosting for issues impacting application support
Required qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of application performance experience with proficiency in application tuning on large, multi-processor environments
- Knowledge of z/OS, Strobe, and monitoring systems (e.g., Omegamon)
- Proficiency in TSO, ISPF, JCL, and modifying job streams for batch processing
- Working understanding of USS (Unix), CICS, Liberty, DB2, and SQL
