Senior Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer to enhance application security practices and protect against security threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Secure Software Development Lifecycle through design reviews, threat modeling, code reviews, and penetration testing
• Collaborate with engineering teams on application security best practices and vulnerability remediation
• Conduct deep-dive security reviews to ensure adherence to secure design principles across products

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in application security or similar roles
• Experience performing design reviews, threat modeling, secure code reviews, or penetration testing
• Strong background in application security best practices and familiarity with common vulnerabilities
• Some experience in development or scripting (Python, Scala, C++, or JavaScript)
• Understanding of business objectives, context, and security risk
