Senior Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Embed security into the SDLC by partnering with Engineering to implement secure design patterns and conduct threat modeling
• Lead application security assessments including SAST, DAST, SCA, and manual code review across various surfaces
• Own and mature the vulnerability management program and champion software supply chain security initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in security engineering or application security, preferably in a fintech or high-growth startup
• Hands-on experience with SAST/DAST tools and familiarity with security frameworks such as SOC 2 and PCI-DSS
• Experience securing cloud-native environments and knowledge of API security standards
• Proficiency in scripting with Python and/or Bash for automation
• Familiarity with AI/LLM security risks and relevant emerging standards
