Senior Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance application security across the organization, the full-time remote Senior Application Security Engineer will lead security reviews, develop automated testing, and manage vulnerability assessments while collaborating with engineering teams to implement best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead application security reviews and threat modeling, including secure code reviews and architectural design
• Develop automated testing processes and mature the Secure SDLC
• Own application security vulnerability management and coordinate penetration testing engagements

Required qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development and testing
• BS (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in software development languages such as Python, NodeJS, and React
• Strong understanding of encryption, authentication, and authorization protocols
• Professional experience with cloud security solutions and secure software development lifecycles
