Senior Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer for a fully remote position who will manage the Burp Suite Enterprise DAST program, troubleshoot and configure scans, and develop custom extensions to enhance application security for a federal client.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Burp Suite Enterprise DAST program, including scan scheduling and result triage
• Design and implement authenticated scanning workflows that handle multi-factor and federated authentication
• Administer Linux infrastructure and automate security processes using tools like Ansible and CloudFormation

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on application security engineering experience
• Expertise with Burp Suite Enterprise and Burp Suite Professional
• Strong command-line skills in Linux/Unix administration
• Proficiency in writing custom Burp extensions and security automation scripts in Python
• Experience integrating security scanning into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
