Senior Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on secure coding and application vulnerabilities, the full-time Senior Application Security Engineer will develop and implement security policies, conduct application scans, and collaborate with engineering teams to enhance security practices in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical security policies and procedures while performing security measures
• Scan and test applications for vulnerabilities and partner with engineering teams during code reviews to advise on secure coding strategies
• Integrate security tools into the DevOps pipeline and lead training sessions on secure coding practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or 7 years of combined higher education and work experience with at least 5 years in software development or application security
• Prior experience with application security tools such as SAST, DAST, and SCA
• Intermediate understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Ability to train individuals at various levels on secure application development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
