Senior Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Senior Application Security Engineer will validate application services for high security standards, assess vulnerabilities, and implement secure development practices while collaborating with technical teams to mitigate risks.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute application security testing throughout the software development life cycle to identify vulnerabilities
• Assess vulnerabilities and recommend risk-mitigating solutions, utilizing automation to enhance testing and remediation efficiency
• Lead AI security initiatives and collaborate with architects and development teams to promote secure design practices

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of related experience in application security
• Bachelor's Degree in a technically related field or equivalent work experience
• Expertise in application security testing tools, including SAST, DAST, and SCA
• Proficiency in threat modeling, vulnerability and penetration testing, and securing applications in cloud environments
• Relevant certifications such as C|ASE, CSSLP, GWAPT, or OSCP
