Senior Applications Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Applications Analyst in the Information Technology department.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and serve as a subject matter expert for specific content issues and solutions
• Perform project management activities, including analysis, design, implementation, education, and support of application software
• Consult and communicate extensively with clinical staff, administrative users, and external agencies to improve patient safety and departmental workflow

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, clinical area, or related field, or five+ years of relevant healthcare/IT experience
• Minimum of three years' experience in implementing clinical information systems
• Previous teaching/training and project management experience
• ITIL and HIMSS certifications to be completed within one year of hire
• Strong knowledge of hospital clinical and administrative departments and advanced understanding of information systems and the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
