Senior Applied AI Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer for a full-time remote position, responsible for owning AI features end-to-end, moving features through rollout tiers, and building evaluation metrics to ensure output quality in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own AI features end-to-end, from problem statement to general availability classification
• Move features through rollout tiers, ensuring each promotion is backed by evaluation baselines and capacity plans
• Build and defend evaluations, including golden datasets and north-star metrics, to monitor and prove feature behavior

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on shipping ML/LLM-powered features
• Deep knowledge in areas such as LLM application engineering, evaluation metrics, and retrieval & embeddings
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, with familiarity in a modern backend stack
• Proven ability to engage with customers and understand their needs, demonstrating a customer mindset
