Senior Applied Data Scientist

Job Summary

Owning the outcome of customer decision-making, the full-time remote Senior Applied Data Scientist will transform raw operational data into actionable products, ensuring that models are usable, explainable, and measurable while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the outcome by framing ambiguous customer problems and delivering effective machine learning solutions
• Build and refine data features using Snowflake and dbt, ensuring models are based on accurate domain understanding
• Measure and report the business impact of deployed models, including A/B testing and causal analyses for continuous improvement

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in applied data science, ML engineering, or data engineering with a focus on production models
• Strong proficiency in Python and applied ML libraries, along with solid SQL expertise
• Experience with supervised learning, forecasting, and operational data modeling
• Demonstrated ability to quantify business impact and communicate findings effectively to diverse stakeholders
• Experience with data modeling, deployment, monitoring, and drift detection in cloud environments, preferably AWS
