Job Summary
Driving innovation in reality capture, the full-time Senior Applied Research Engineer will design, train, and deploy advanced 3D reconstruction systems remotely, leveraging one of the industry's largest datasets to enhance production pipelines.
Key responsibilities
- Design, train, evaluate, and ship 3D reconstruction systems across various techniques including gaussian splatting and foundation models
- Integrate modern reality capture approaches into the production stack, determining readiness for deployment
- Conduct technical investigations from initial triage to production rollout and support, optimizing systems for performance and efficiency
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in 3D Computer Vision or Machine Learning
- Hands-on experience with gaussian splatting and/or foundation 3D reconstruction models in a production environment
- Proven track record of building and shipping 3D reconstruction systems in applied industry settings
- Deep experience with 3D perception techniques, including SfM, MVS, and mesh reconstruction
- Strong proficiency in C++ and familiarity with modern ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
