Senior Applied Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Applied Scientist to build and scale decision systems for a core marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Iterate on optimization frameworks in multi-objective environments to balance customer experience and business value
• Build and productionize ML-driven routing systems, owning models from feature design to monitoring
• Collaborate with partner teams to clarify system behavior and align on decision policies

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of applied science experience with optimization-driven decision systems
• 3+ years of experience owning production machine learning systems end to end
• Proficient in Python and SQL for model building and deployment
• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience
• Strong mathematical and algorithmic reasoning skills, with experience in multi-objective tradeoffs
