Senior Applied Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Applied Scientist responsible for designing and delivering AI solutions that enhance products through applied research in natural language processing and information retrieval.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead an applied research team through the full product development life cycle
• Be accountable for all research deliverables in projects and provide input on long-term AI strategy
• Mentor and coach scientists and engineers while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration

Required Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline or a master's with comparable experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building NLP/IR systems for commercial applications
• Experience writing production code and managing software delivery
• Demonstrable experience translating complex problems into successful AI applications
• Practical experience using generative AI technologies and frameworks
