Senior Applied Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Applied Scientist to develop and deploy domain-specific models for complex data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute fine-tuning strategies and manage the experimentation cycle from hypothesis to production deployment
• Build and refine data collection and labeling strategies for complex domains, including auto-labeling pipelines
• Evaluate and select base models for domain-specific tasks and deploy fine-tuned models using cloud ML platforms

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in applied machine learning with a focus on model training and fine-tuning
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with LoRA and full fine-tuning
• Proven track record of deploying fine-tuned models to production on cloud ML platforms
• Experience working with messy, unstructured data and designing labeling strategies
• Proficiency with HuggingFace, PyTorch, and at least one cloud ML platform
