Senior Applied Scientist, Cybersecurity

Job Summary

To enhance cybersecurity operations, the full-time Senior Applied Scientist, Cybersecurity will develop AI systems that automate security processes and improve decision-making, working remotely while collaborating with security practitioners to deliver impactful solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with security teams to identify workflows and lead the creation of AI systems that enhance analyst decision-making
• Provide technical direction for AI initiatives, shaping architecture and project goals to achieve measurable outcomes
• Build context-aware agents that analyze security data and support operational autonomy through evaluation and optimization

Required qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in building and shipping AI or intelligent software systems with technical ownership of production initiatives
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, with experience in languages like TypeScript or C#
• Hands-on experience in designing modern AI systems and evaluations using large language models and related approaches
• Demonstrated technical leadership in cross-functional projects with a strong understanding of cybersecurity applications
