Job Summary
Owning the development of high-quality assessment and instructional content, the full-time Senior Alignment and Assessment Design Specialist will lead the creation of assessment items and frameworks, manage state submissions, and collaborate across teams in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and refinement of assessment items and instructional content using a backwards design approach
- Manage state list submissions and oversee multi-round passage development with vendors
- Analyze field test data and drive review cycles to ensure alignment with educational standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in education, English, literacy, mathematics, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in assessment development or standards alignment, preferably with K-12 experience
- Advanced knowledge of assessment design, item-writing standards, and validation methodologies
- Experience with state summative assessment design and familiarity with scoring logic and TEI scoring design
- Proficiency in alignment, content management, and advanced Excel skills
