Senior Assessment Designer
Job Summary
Providing ELA subject matter expertise and leading project coordination, the remote Senior Assessment Designer will develop high-quality assessment materials, support program management, and ensure the equitable use of NWEA assessment data in teaching and learning.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain assessment items and passages aligned to standards and frameworks
- Consult with program management on project issues, ensuring timely completion and adherence to requirements
- Present professional development workshops and mentor staff on development-related tools and processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English Language Arts, Education, or a relevant field
- At least 3 years of combined subject-area teaching and test development experience
- Subject matter expertise in English Language Arts and assessment quality standards
- Experience in instructional design and delivering training
- Working understanding of research design, data analysis, and psychometric principles
