Senior Assessment Designer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time contract basis, the Senior Assessment Designer will collaborate with the assessment design team to create and revise tests and items based on state standards while ensuring alignment with customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review, edit, and revise assessments to meet internal and external deadlines
• Develop well-rounded assessments according to established blueprints
• Provide constructive feedback on assessment items and design

Required qualifications

• Strong professional assessment writing and editing experience, particularly with tech-enhanced items
• Deep knowledge of academic standards and assessment design
• Ability to write assessment items for K-12 students with an understanding of Depth of Knowledge and text complexity
• Subject-matter expertise in ELA, math, science, or social studies
• Experience in education; former teaching experience is a plus
