Job Summary
Providing legal advice and transactional support for global teams, the full-time Senior Attorney, Carbon Finance will focus on structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex agreements related to carbon markets and climate initiatives in a remote role.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and negotiate complex transactions, including carbon credit generation and sales agreements
- Advise multidisciplinary teams on corporate structuring, governance, and management issues for global programs
- Ensure all transactions comply with organizational policies and legal standards while articulating complex legal concepts to non-lawyers
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate or equivalent and license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Five years of relevant legal experience, with significant experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements
- Strong corporate transactional background, including experience in corporate structuring and governance
- In-house or law firm experience advising sophisticated clients with a global presence
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and transactions concurrently within a team environment
