Senior Automated Underwriting Analyst

Job Summary

Leading the design and implementation of underwriting rules, the full-time Senior Automated Underwriting Analyst will manage projects, develop and update underwriting rules, and collaborate with various departments and external partners to ensure operational efficiency and compliance in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update, and manage underwriting rules within underwriting platforms to support efficiency and scalability initiatives
• Lead solution design efforts by identifying gaps and refining requirements in collaboration with vendors and internal teams
• Perform Quality Assurance (QA) testing of underwriting rules and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed

Required qualifications

• College degree or equivalent industry-related work experience
• Rules writing experience is required
• Life underwriting experience is preferred
• Designation or progress toward completion of FALU is required
• Strong analytical skills in assessing medical evidence and mortality data
