Senior Automation Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement automation solutions for enterprise middleware technologies, utilizing Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions using Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting
• Create and manage configuration management strategies across diverse infrastructure environments
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to identify automation opportunities and document processes

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in automation engineering roles
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Ansible playbooks and roles
• Proficiency in Python programming with 5+ years of professional experience
• 10+ years of experience writing Bash/Shell scripts for Linux/Unix environments
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and experience with version control systems
