Senior Avionics Safety Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior Avionics Safety Engineer will manage system safety requirements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and perform safety analyses to ensure compliance with regulatory standards in the aerospace and space systems sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with integration teams to ensure compliance in the development of real-time embedded systems
• Develop, manage, and maintain system safety requirements, including validation and verification
• Perform safety analyses such as Hazard Identification and Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related scientific field
• 5+ years of systems safety analysis experience in a safety-critical environment
• 5+ years in system/software development of avionics or similar embedded systems
• Experience generating system safety documentation, especially FHA, FTA, and FMECA
• US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work performed
