Job Summary

To support the Office of Sponsored Programs Administration, the full-time Senior Award Administrator will independently manage contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with internal policies and federal regulations while serving as a resource for faculty and staff in pre and post-award management, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Review, analyze, develop, negotiate, and execute a variety of contracts and agreements
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, sponsor guidelines, and federal regulations
  • Communicate with faculty, staff, sponsors, and sub-recipients regarding award management
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience
  • Experience negotiating grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements
  • Knowledge of federal regulations including 2 CFR Part 200 and FAR
  • Experience with research administration software systems
  • Ability to work on-site in Ames if preferred
