Senior AWS Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior AWS Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain features for a SaaS product, ensuring high standards of quality while designing scalable and secure systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and maintain features such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and customer-facing functionalities
• Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems while ensuring compliance in a high-performance production environment
• Participate in team planning, identify improvements for velocity and quality, and implement disaster recovery procedures

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS services, including expertise in AWS CDK
• Proficiency in software development using TypeScript, C#, or Java
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and working in compliant environments (e.g., CJIS, FedRAMP, or SOC2)
• A desire to work in an operations environment that embraces DevOps and SRE principles
