Senior AWS Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior AWS Cloud Platform Analyst will design and build platform capabilities for FedRAMP High and IL5 environments, focusing on creating centralized platform APIs, automation for federal workflows, and enhancing security and reliability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build and harden platform services for FedRAMP High and IL5, including centralized APIs and CI components
• Automate federal promotion workflows to ensure gated, auditable deployments
• Provide guidance and technical feedback to less experienced engineers while participating in production support and incident response

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering
• Strong coding or scripting experience in Python, Go, Ruby, or Bash
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD systems
• Comfort operating production systems with observability and incident response
• Experience building secure systems with compliance requirements in mind
