Senior AWS Database Administrator

Job Summary

To ensure optimal database performance and integrity, the full-time Senior AWS Database Administrator will manage database structures, perform maintenance tasks, and collaborate with technology and data teams in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Create and modify database structures to support transactional integrity and analytical reporting
• Perform advanced database maintenance, including backups, performance tuning, and index optimization
• Design and manage Master Data Management (MDM) solutions to ensure data consistency across systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 6+ years of hands-on SQL coding experience across AWS MySQL, Azure TSQL, and Databricks AnsiSQL
• 6+ years of experience in data modeling, ERD design, and database tuning
• Proven experience supporting data systems in both Technology and Data team environments
• Strong knowledge of the AWS cloud platform
