Senior Azure Data Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the implementation of a secure Azure pipeline, the remote freelance Senior Azure Platform & Data Engineer will capture GitHub Copilot CLI agent traces, scrub sensitive content, and provide a sanitized dataset for review over an expected three-month engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Build the OpenTelemetry capture path, including endpoint configuration and data processing
- Implement central Azure ingestion with privacy controls for sensitive information
- Develop automation and supporting services in Python or Node.js, alongside operational workflows in Bash
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of software, platform, or data engineering experience shipping production systems
- 3+ years of Azure experience or comparable major-cloud experience
- 2+ years of observability or telemetry work with direct OpenTelemetry experience
- Strong skills in Python or Node.js, plus Bash
