Senior Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer
Job Summary
To support the unique needs of a federal customer, the full-time Senior Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer will design, build, and optimize secure Azure Virtual Desktop environments while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer AVD host pools, session hosts, images, scaling plans, application delivery, and user profiles
- Create secure desktop patterns for Codex access, including network segmentation and firewall rules
- Troubleshoot performance, sign-in, profile, application, network, and graphics issues across the AVD stack
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of endpoint, virtual desktop, or Windows infrastructure engineering experience
- Hands-on AVD design and implementation experience with pooled and personal desktop patterns
- Strong knowledge of FSLogix, Windows 11, Entra ID, Intune, Azure networking, and profile-storage design
- Experience with image engineering, application packaging, performance tuning, and monitoring
- Ability to work independently in a secure, highly controlled enterprise environment
