Senior Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing Cloud Infrastructure team, the full-time Senior Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer will design, deploy, automate, and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop environments remotely, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency while collaborating with various technical teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including resource sizing and architecture
- Configure and maintain Azure infrastructure components and manage pooled and personal desktop environments
- Develop automation solutions for provisioning, image management, and scaling using PowerShell and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop environments
- Strong expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop architecture and Azure infrastructure services
- Experience optimizing AVD environments for performance and cost efficiency
- Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Experience managing the full virtual desktop lifecycle, including provisioning and image management
