Senior Back-End Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a passionate Senior Back-End Engineer, the full-time remote position will focus on designing and building world-class services, owning the public-facing API platform and ingestion services for retailer integration and onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver large-scale and real-time systems with a focus on quality, scalability, and operability
• Collaborate with product management, data engineering, and other teams to create end-to-end solutions for customers
• Mentor and coach team members while proactively identifying and addressing areas of technical debt

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Significant experience in software development with modern programming languages, particularly in a functional style
• Proven track record of leading the design and delivery of large projects and influencing technical direction
• Strong software design and architecture skills, especially for high-traffic systems
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and building distributed systems or public-facing APIs
