Senior Backend API Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior IBM Backend API Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs in Python with structured JSON specifications
• Build and maintain deployment infrastructure, including IBM Cloud services and CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with teams to transition solutions from proof-of-concept to production-ready

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with 2 years on IBM Cloud
• Hands-on experience deploying Python services using IBM Code Engine
• Proficiency with IBM Cloud Object Storage and IAM policies
• Experience building REST APIs in Python using FastAPI or Flask
• Strong knowledge of Docker, CI/CD automation, and Git workflows
